Provisional first team squad for the 2024/2025

The team is led by Head Coach Matt Analts and WEBBA 2024 MVP Steve Wallis. The competition Manger is Adam Storey.

Meet the Team

Head Coach

Matt Analts

Matt Analts has been with the Club for over 25 years and as a junior spent time playing for the hawks and in NBL for Gloucester and later for Bristol.

Matt is a full-time Sports coach and Mentor working mostly in the Baines area.

He has spent time as the Head coach for Bath university and is currently the head coach for Marlborough College.

Competition Manger

Adam Storey

Adam Storey has been the acting chairman at the club for the past 7 years.

As a Junior Adam played seasons for Bath, wiltshire and Bristol Flyers.

He is also the Head coach for our U10s, U12s and U16s Hawks team's.

Adam works full-time as a sports Coach working with mostly primary Schools.

Captain and assitant Coach

Steve Wallis

Steve Wallis has been with the Club for over 25 years and as a junior played for the Hawks and also for Bristol in NBL.

Steve is the current WEBBA MVP averaging 28.1 Pts per game last season in Division two.

Point Gaurd

Owen Peet

Owen Peet from Frome joined the Club via the TBL (Trowbridge Basketball League) and formerly joined the Hawks as part of our re-entry in 2020.

He first found the sport joining a Frome session back in 20216 led by Trowbridge Coach Frank.

For what he lacks in height he certainly makes up for in Speed.

He has become the team's starting Point guard and shows no sign of slowing down.

Owen averaged 7.9 pts per game, scoring a total 56pts across the 23/24 season.

Athletic Guard

Steve Conteh

Steve Conteh from Trowbridge joined the Club via the TBL (Trowbridge Basketball League) and led his team to multiple Championships. Steve formally joined the team as part of our re-entry campaign in 2020.

Steve brings a high level of athleticism and experince to the team and is a force attacking the basket and crashing the glass.

Steve played in London before making the move to the Wiltshire town.

Steve averaged 23.1 pts per game with a 0.91% FT percentage and 7 game MVPs in the 23/24 season.

versatile Forward

Michal Yakosz

Michal Yakosz previous chairman first played as a Junior at the Club. He went on to play for UWE Bristol whilst at university and then Local team Devizes Wizards.

Michal played an important role creating the TBL back in 2013 and wining many championships with the 'Tigers'.

Michal re-joined the Hawks in 2023 and had a great first season back averaging 10.7pts per game and was a force on the rebounds.
